In marking the 100 days in office of the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido, the Senior Special Assistant on Tenement Rates and Monitoring, Hon. Rahmat Abdullahi, has applauded the developmental stride of the administration within the shortest period.
Abdullahi said what Candido has achieved in this short time is an indication that the real change agenda is here with the people of AMAC.
Abdullahi, who contested on the ticket of APC for councillorship in Kabusa ward listed the achievements to include empowerment and job creation for youths.
“He has established three Skill Acquisition and Vocational Centres. The AMAC School for the Gifted will soon take-off.
“In terms of security, Candido established AMAC Marshal Guards Ltd to compliment the existing security Agencies in the provision of internal security in AMAC.
“Also to boost internally generated revenue in the council, Candido has established AMAC Investment and Property Development Company to venture into lucrative investment interests, so as to generate additional resources to the council,” she explained.
She further said that the AMAC chairman has established a new primary school at Iddo-Magi, a village along Giri/Airport road under Gui ward in AMAC, that the school is to start with three classroom blocks newly built.
He has also constructed 1km asphalted road in Jiwa and five comprehensive boreholes in several villages across five wards in the council.
