Delta: Police Arrest Clergy For Allegedly Raping Housewife

The police at the Delta State Police Command Asaba Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested the General Overseer of a new Generation Church (name withheld) for allegedly raping a housewife (name withheld) including duping members of his church the sum ofN160, 000.
It was gathered that the man of God allegedly hoodwinked the housewife into prayer session, and mid-way took her into his office where he made love to her amidst struggle.
He was also alleged to have rip-off members of his church, particularly the women the sum of N160, 000 on the pretense of conducting healing for them.It was further learnt that the pastor instead of performing healing most times in his church, take his members, especially women to hotel’s swimming pool where he allegedly size them up before making
love advances to them. But the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim who paraded the suspect yesterday, said the police acted on a tip-off to arrest the pastor.
According to him “our men of the police force arrested the pastor in his church around cable point when a female member reported to the police how he (pastor) had been harassing female sexually in his church, disclosing that the suspect upon interrogation admitted taken many women for sex since he opened his church.
