Despite release of shooting video, Charlotte protests persists

A day after Charlotte police released footage of the killing of Keith Scott, a 43-year-old father of seven, protests have continued in North Carolina’s largest city for the sixth day over the use of lethal force against black men.
Every day since Tuesday, angry protesters have poured into the streets in demonstrations and feelers are that protests will still continue until all the footage showing Scott’s death are released.
The two videos released earlier offered no clear evidence that Scott was holding a gun when he was shot.
“It’s one word: transparency,” said, Kerby McLean, 26, a pastor at Perpetual Hope Kingdom International church in Charlotte, calling on elected leaders to get the tape.
“We’re protesting until they respond to what we want them to do,” he said.
