The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a female founder of a white garment church, Idowu Olupinla, for allegedly running a prostitution ring using teenagers in the Ijoko area of Ota, in the state.
Olupinla, who was paraded alongside 22 other suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and cultists, is the founder of Adura Migba Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ijoko, Ota.
While parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, at command’s headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, said the suspects were arrested from various locations in the state.
According to him, about 21 assorted guns, which included three AK 47 rifles, were recovered.
Olupinla, was alleged to have been using teenagers to run the prostitution ring.
Iliyasu further disclosed that Olupinla may be charged to court for human trafficking.
Though denied the allegation, she was however confronted by three of her victims, who said she used one of the rooms in her apartment as a brothel, where different men, including male members of the church slept with them.
The Ogun police boss explained that one Haruna Saidat, aged 16 years and three others lodged complaints against the suspect for using them for prostitution and sending other young girls to neighbouring countries for the same purpose.
