Ughelli – A social political pressure group working for the actualisation of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar presidential bid, Atiku For Greater Nigeria Organisation (AGNO) has concluded plans to inaugurate local government chapters of the group across Delta State.
The group, which held its executive quarterly meeting recently at country home, Garden Bar, Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area, said through its state coordinator, Comrade Iwhiwhu Ogaga that the purpose of the proposed inauguration was to make the group more grounded and formidable.
He expressed optimism that come 2019, God is going to see Alhaji Atiku through to clinch the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket.
During the meeting that was well attended by the group’s state executive members from the three senatorial districts of the state, several issues affecting the organisation were discussed and solutions proffered.
The date for the inauguration of some LGA chapters of the group was concluded including that of Okpe, which was fixed for March 31, 2018.
Highpoints of the meeting was the admission of more members into the organisation.
Those in attendance includes Prince Iwhiwhu Ogaga, state coordinator; Awomare Clifford, secretary; Chief Ugbokodo, state Treasurer; Comrade (Dr.) Andrew Agbi, Okpe coordinator; Engr. Omobaye Paul, Ughelli South coordinator; Gbeghene Friday, Assistant secretary, and Comrade (Dr.) Ijeoma Raphael, Ndokwa West LGA coordinator.
