Israeli forces chase, teargass Palestinian protesters demanding release of teen activist and her mother

Palestinians from various villages in the occupied West Bank who gathered in Nabi Saleh to demand the release of prominent teen activist Ahed Tamini, 16, and her mother were chased by Israeli forces who used teargas to disperse the crowd.

Reports say Israeli forces had stationed themselves at the entrance of Nabi Saleh an hour before the protest, preventing many foreign activists and journalists from entering the village after which they dispersed protesters with teargas.

According to residents who spoke with Al Jazeera, the teargas fired by Israeli forces caused gas inhalation to dozens of protesters with at least seven demonstrators injured by rubber bullets.
