A 28-year-old applicant, Isiaka Anjorin, who allegedly pushed a man against a moving vehicle and caused him grievous hurt was on Friday docked in an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State.
Anjorin, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of assault.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept. 7 at Old Police Post, Ebute in Ikorodu.
Famuyiwa said that the accused assaulted the complainant, Mr Kazeem Taiwo, by pushing him against a moving vehicle that made him sustain injury on his right ankle.
The offence contravened the provisions of Section 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty, while Chief Magistrate E. O. Ogunkanmi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned until Oct. 4 for mention.
