Former Peoples D e m o c r a t i c Party, PDP lawmaker representing Orhionmwon East constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Friday Ogiariakhi said the All Progressives Congress led federal government has not only lost touch with the Nigeria people but urged eligible voters in the state to takea dvantage of the 28th September poll to vote against the anti-peoples’ policies of the party’s administration in Edo state.
Ogiariakhi stated this when he was addressing PDP supporters at Urhonigbe in Orhionmwon local government area adding that besides denying its campaign promises , APC was yet to formulate and implement clear policy direction close to two years in office.
‘’The implication of this is economic recession, collapse of the naira, high food and commodity prices, increased crime wave and a general disillusionment on the part of Nigerians irrespective of their social status’’
“APC has lost touch with reality. They have lost touch with the people. These are the set of people the people of Edo state and the PDP are up against in the September 28, 2016 elections. They are ready to undermine the rules to score cheap victory. They are the opponents of the people who do not place any premium on integrity”.
“ From the informal and formal opinion polls that have been conducted even by the APC so far regarding the Edo governorship elections the fact remains that the PDP and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is maintaining a comfortable lead” he said. He therefore tasked party agents and eligible voters to be vigilant on the very date of the election
“We need to beawake and be on our toes. We need to be vigilant until the last vote is cast on the Election Day and the ballot is voted and the result declared”.
On his part, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu saluted the party faithful and loyalists for theirdoggedness and resourcefulness in spite of all odds in their determination to effect a change of good governance that will liberate Edo people.
