Boko Haram terrorists ambushed troops escorting commercial vehicles from Damboa to Maiduguri on Monday, killing five civilians, Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director of Army Public Relations said in a statement. He added that the troops were ambushed by suspected elements of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists foraging for food at Sanda general area, Borno State. “Unfortunately, 5 civilians lost their lives at the incident and another died on the way to the hospital.
