Canuk vice chairman Charles Sylvester appointed Nigerian Ports Authority director

altCENTRAL Association of Nigerians in the UK (Canuk) second vice president and the European coordinator of the Buhari Friends Organisation Network (BFON) Charles Sylvester has been appointed to the board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Named yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Sylvester, a London-based businessman has been Canuk vice chairman for a year now. A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and passionate supporter of the president, Mr Sylvester has a lot of experience in commerce and prides himself on being an employer of labour.

Mt Sylvester said: “I acknowledge with gratitude the many congratulatory messages that came from all over the world on my appointment as a governing board member of the NPA. I am particularly appreciative of the members of the BFON, to which I was the diaspora coordinator, especially our tireless national coordinator Saint Okon and our ever-supportive patron Group Captain Sam Ewang among others.

“We all believed in the change philosophy and traversed the landscape of Nigeria and Europe to sell the candidature of President Buhari, using our personal resources and risking all, including threats to our life but God is great. Presently, Nigeria is a work in progress and I have firm belief that President Buhari, with the support of all Nigerians and by the grace of God, will lead Nigeria to greatness.”

He assured disaporans that he will work to justify the confidence reposed in him and add value to the president’s plan to make Nigeria great again. Mr Sylvester called on all Nigerians to unite to pray and support President Buhari, so the government can overcome its current challenges and make Nigeria great again.
