Kogi Assembly: Why I Decamped to APC – Majority Leader

It is germane to clear the air on my defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC as announced today at Plenary Session in the State House of Assembly.

This decision was reached after due, painstaking and extensive consultations with Leaders and Stakeholders in Kabba / Bunu State Constituency.
The endless and protracted crisis in the PDP has badly aggravated the ability of the Party to play its proper roles in the affairs of Kabba / Bunu, Kogi State and the Nation.
The realisation that this crisis, which has defied all remedies is nothing but egocentric, intrigues and power play on the part of our party Leaders, which makes my decision inevitable.
In my desire to deliver on the mandate freely given to me by the good people of Kabba / Bunu, in terms of carrying out my primary assignment; lawmaking and  attracting development, my movement to APC, the ruling party in the State will avail me a vantage position to perform my legislative duties effortlessly and impact more positively on the lives of our people.
The dynamism the polity has witnessed in recent times must be leveraged upon to reflect on my Constituent and this has been the driving force behind my decision to defect.
Looking inwardly, irrespective of the misconception and the resultant misrepresentation my defection might generate, I remain resolute, steadfast and committed in my unstinted quest to ensure meaningful life for the accommodating people of Kabba / Bunu State Constituency.
I have a strong conviction that the benefits of this move will be the defining moment for a secured, progress- inclined and prosperous Kabba / Bunu LG.
I am positive about the New Direction Blueprint of the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and hereby assure our people that my defection in no distant time will sooner than later yield sustainable growth and development.
For this reasons, I crave for your unalloyed support, wide acceptance and wholesale understanding on this new political sojourn I embarked on.
God Bless Kabba / Bunu State Constituency!
God Bless Kogi State!!
God Bless Our Nation, Nigeria!!!

HON. PRINCE.  KOLAWOLE MATTHEW,
MAJORITY LEADER,  KSHA, LOKOJA.
