The management of Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on Thursday bestowed the Best Human Resource Development (HRD) award on Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) microfinance bank.
The Director-General of ITF, Joseph Ari Ntang presented the award to the managing director/chairman of the financial institution in Benin-City.
Ntang said the award was in recognition and appreciation of LAPO microfinance bank as the best contributing employer in human resource development in 2016.
BusinessDay reports that ITF, a national capacity development agency had in 2013 acknowledged LAPO Microfinance Bank’s commitment to staff development.
The agency recognized the microfinance bank with an award as its best subscriber in Benin-city region.
The ITF boss commended the management of financial institution for its laudable contributions in adding value to economic and educational development of the country.
He also commended the LAPO microfinance bank for being up to date in its training programme, noting that as a reputed organization it has fulfilled its corporate responsibility of being law compliance.
